So simple and so effective at the same time. I'm thinking of doing something similar with candycanes for Chistmas. I am VERY excited for Thanksgiving. I have Happy Fall up on my front door with tons of cut out colourful leaves and we are definitely NOT skipping Thanksgiving this year. Or any other year, for that matter! And we don't even eat turkey! (vegetarians...)
Anyhow, I remember Thanksgiving growing up and my extended family came to town. My grandmother had everything decorated for Thanksgiving, then all us grandkids helped her take things down on Friday, then Saturday my uncles and grandfather would help get down the Christmas stuff and we'd start the decorating. Never before Thanksgiving.

Sorry that was a long comment...I feel strongly on the subject I guess! Happy Thanksgiving!!fernhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14259303723573135074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2712311498306461765.post-53102474879181017732011-11-20T07:42:11.475-08:002011-11-20T07:42:11.475-08:00I have been pitiful about seasonal decorating late...I have been pitiful about seasonal decorating lately, but I never put Christmas decorations up before early December.

Have a great Thanksgiving!Esch House Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07095448847070091632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2712311498306461765.post-80858227701279924622011-11-20T00:30:00.793-08:002011-11-20T00:30:00.793-08:00I love thanksgiving also but do not do hardly any ...I love thanksgiving also but do not do hardly any decorating for it. I try to stick to generic fall decorations for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Mainly because I am not great at seasonal decorating and if I put up Halloween stuff, it wouldn't come down until after Thanksgiving. I know me.
That turkey is so stinking cute. I will have to put it on my list for when I learn to crochet..Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14619539314101877494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2712311498306461765.post-79620542229023399922011-11-20T00:04:27.144-08:002011-11-20T00:04:27.144-08:00What a beautiful post and i would say you have a l...What a beautiful post and i would say you have a lot to be thankful for.
